OYO is an Indian multinational hospitality company founded by Ritesh Agarwal in the year 2013. It is a chain of leased and franchised hotels, homes, and living spaces.
OYO rooms is a privately owned company with more than 43000 properties and 1 million rooms across 800 cities in 80 countries. The company’s total assets are estimated to be around $1.1 billion as of 2021.
OYO appointed Shreerang Godbole as the chief service officer and Shirish Damani as the company’s chief revenue officer. The appointments done by OYO are in a way to meet its visionary approach of being customers’ priority.
Sheerang Godbole and Shirish Damani have both been instrumental in building and sustaining growth momentum at OYO, Ritesh Agarwal, CEO, of OYO, said.
“Revenue management has been one of the stand-out success stories at OYO Vacation Homes. Damani was among the first few to build our dynamic pricing engine which has evolved today to become the core of OYO’s revenue management and has also been transformational for small and medium hotels and homes. Godbole, on the other hand, has helped us build products that sustainably improve and scale customer experience while unlocking revenue maximization opportunities. Their entrepreneurial spirit combined with their problem-solving acumen has inspired many within the company,” he added.
The visionary idea of OYO to be a consumer’s priority will be led by Shreerang Godbole. He will be responsible for the service and experience of customers globally.The tasks like patron engagement, service, and operations will be closely dealt by Shreerang Godbole.
On the other hand, Shirish Damani has been phenomenal in the pricing system and success of OYO vaction homes. In 2019, efforts of Damani were visibly seen when the OYO- powered hotels in Malaysia and Indonesia generated 1.5 to 1.9 times more revenue on average.
The experience of Damani and Godbole will lead this multinational hospitality company to greater heights.
