Energy Storage Solutions Startup, Clean Electric has raised $2.2M funding a seed round led by Climate Angels and Kalaari Capital. Many other investors also participated in this seed round. Along with Climate Angels, participation from LV fund, 7 square Ventures and CIIE Regional Innovation Foundation was also seen in the round.
Madhya Pradesh-based Energy Storage startup, Clean Electric has a visionary idea for the company. With the addition of funds, the startup will soon set up a manufacturing facility in Pune. The facility will produce around 5000 battery packs every month.
Primarily, Clean Electric plans to utilize the funds for its R&D projects. Apart from the aforementioned tasks, the startup will look for the expansion of its teams and the introduction of new products. The products will revolve around fast charging, battery swapping, etc.
Startup’s Profile
Launched in 2020 by Akash Gupta and Abhinav Roy, Madhya Pradesh-based startup, Clean Electric has various branches. The startup deals with manufacturing, designing and developing advanced energy storage solutions. It also supplies and provides after-sales of advanced energy storage solutions for mobility and stationary storage applications.
The company has already built amazing solutions for 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers and battery-swapping applications. It has introduced liquid-cooled battery solutions.
EV Battery issues
With the visionary approach of solving all related issues, the startup aims to look into the safety approach and performance issues of EVs. In recent days, issues like battery explosion, long charging and frequent battery exchanges have come to light.
Clean Electric plans to solve the battery issues. It claims to bring direct cooling technology which will ensure maximum safety of consumers. Along with safety, the startup also ensures 25 mins charging and a 1.5X longer life span through this technology. The company’s products have been in the pilot testing phase with various equipment makers across the country.
