Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 3,024 newly built flats for the people belonging to Economically Weaker Section of the society, as a part of In situ Slum Rehabilitation Programme in Delhi, on Wednesday 2nd November 2022.
The ceremony, Bhoomiheen Camp was held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi today, 2nd November 2022.
The Prime Minister of the nation, did the honours by handing over the keys of the respective flats to the eligible beneficiaries in the Occasion.
As per the Prime Minister’s statement, the flats provided to the beneficiaries provides a sense of security and ownership.
The programme of Insitu Slum Rehabilitation was in line with the Prime Minister’s foresight for providing shelter to the Slum dwellers residing in 376 cluster homes, which were undertaken by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
The Prime Minister said that, he could see the happiness and joy on the faces of the beneficiaries upon handing them the keys of their respective homes.
The Prime Minister also said that other families will also have an opportunity to get the new flats in near future.
PM Modi also stated that he has faith in the Central Government’s efforts in making Delhi, an ideal city, eradicate poverty by providing shelter to the people belonging to other urban cities.
