New Delhi: The Government of India has announced recruitment of 10 lakh jobs in 38 ministries across the country. On completion of 75 years of Independence, during its 1st phase recruitment 75,000 aspirants will join the government at various levels in Group A and B (gazetted), Group B (non-gazetted) and Group C.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Dhanteras addressing the “Rozgar Mela” via video-conference and 75,000 appointment letters are given to the candidates during this ceremony under a common programme to unable time-bound process in the government.

NDA governed states and Union Territories, BJP governed states, Jammu & Kashmir, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar will also recruit under this programme.

He said that India has become the fifth largest economy in last 7 to 8 years.

“It is a fact that the global situation is not very good. Several large economies are struggling. In many countries, high inflation and unemployment and many other problems are at their peak,” said PM Modi.

He also said that India do not think nor the world believes that the side-effects of the once-in-a-century pandemic will go away in 100 days. The problem is huge and it has a world-wide impact. However, India stands strong by taking new initiatives and few risks to save our country from the affect of this global problem.

He also mentioned that, in last 8 years India has overcome the problems which creates obstacles in the growth of the country’s economy. The mood of the country is empowering farming, private sector and SMEs as these are the highest employment generating sectors.

Today, India is more focused on youth skill development under “Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna”.

The posts on which appointments are being made include those of the central armed forces personnel, sub-inspectors, constables, LDCs, stenographers, PAs, income tax inspectors and MTS, according to a government statement.

These recruitment are being done by the ministries and departments either by themselves or through recruiting agencies such as the UPSC, the SSC and the Railway Recruitment Board. For expeditious recruitment, the selection processes have been simplified and made tech-enabled.

In June this year, the prime minister had asked various government departments and ministries to recruit 10 lakh people on a “mission mode” in the next year and a half.
